Class Descriptions
Creative Movement
Ages 3-4, Young children are encouraged to explore movement through imagination and play. Using music, props, and simple games, the class helps develop motor skills, coordination, and self-expression. It's a fun, interactive experience that fosters a love of movement while supporting social and cognitive development.
Ages 5-6, An introduction to the world of tap dance! In this energetic and engaging class, dancers will explore basic tap steps, rhythms, and musicality — all while building coordination, listening skills, and a love for movement. Perfect for your budding dancer ready to shuffle, stomp, and shine!
Pre-Tap
Pre-Ballet
Ages 5-6, An introduction to the basics of dance, focusing on building coordination, balance, and rhythm through playful exercises. It combines imaginative movements with simple ballet steps, helping students develop flexibility and motor skills in a fun and supportive environment. The class encourages creativity while laying the foundation for future ballet training.
Ages 7-10, This combo class is the perfect introduction for beginner dancers, offering a dynamic blend of ballet and jazz. In the first half, dancers will focus on ballet technique, working on posture, proper turnout, footwork, and building strength. The second half shifts to jazz, where students explore rhythm, musicality, stage presence, and performance style.
Elementary Ballet/Jazz Level 1
Ages 7-10, This combo class is designed for dancers with 1-2+ years of dance experience in ballet & jazz styles. Dancers will spend the first half learning ballet technique, exercises focused on posture, proper turnout/feet, and strengthening muscles. While the second half focuses on jazz technique, rhythm and musicality, personality, and stage performance.
Elementary Ballet/Jazz Level 2
Ages 7-10 This combo class is ideal for beginner dancers eager to explore two dynamic styles. Half focuses on hip hop technique, encouraging dancers to step outside their comfort zones while developing their individuality and personality to their movements. In the second half, students will dive into the high-energy world of pom, mastering quick, sharp movements and building strength and dance technique.
Elementary HipHop/Pom Level 1
Ages 7-10, This combo class is designed for dancers with 1-2+ years of dance experience in hip hop and pom styles.The first half focuses on hip hop technique, encouraging dancers to step outside their comfort zones while developing their individuality and adding personality to their movements. In the second half, students will dive into the high-energy world of pom, mastering quick, sharp movements and building strength and dance technique.
Elementary Hip Hop/Pom Level 2
Age 7-13, This class is perfect for beginner level tap dancers. Students will focus on mastering tap technique, developing precision in counting music, and perfecting fundamental steps. Throughout the class, they will explore a variety of tap styles, including classical, musical theater, rhythm, and funk, while building both their technical ability and artistic expression.
Elementary/Tween Tap Level 1
Ages 9 -18, This class focuses on developing the fundamental skills and physical conditioning necessary for dance movement. The goal is to improve strength, flexibility, control, and precision in movement, providing students with a solid technical foundation to excel in any genre of dance. Whether the style is ballet, jazz, hip hop, or pom, a technique class emphasizes the refinement of posture, strength, and execution.
Technique
Tween Ballet/Jazz
Ages 10-16, Designed for beginner and experienced dancers. Dancers will spend the first half learning ballet technique, exercises focused on posture, proper turnout/feet, and strengthening muscles. In the second half, students will dive into the high-energy world of pom, mastering quick, sharp movements and building strength and dance technique.
Tween & Teen Hip Hop/Pom
Teen Ballet/Jazz
Ages 13-18, This combo class is designed for dancers with 1-2+ years of dance experience in ballet & jazz styles. Dancers will spend the first half learning ballet technique, exercises focused on posture, proper turnout/feet, and strengthening muscles. While the second half focuses on jazz technique, rhythm and musicality, personality, and stage performance.
This class is designed for advanced ballet dancers who have been evaluated and approved to dance en pointe. Dancers will learn a choreographed pointe performance. Dancers are required to take technique class en pointe prior to pointe class.
Pointe
This unique class is specialized for disabled and dancers with special needs. The class contains the same elements as any other dance class, but with more sensitivity to each dancer’s needs. The class is an excellent place for students to socialize and class will evolve according to the progression of the participants.
Dancing Kings & Queens
Ages 9-15, An energetic and dynamic dance class for all levels that focuses on styles of movement commonly seen in musical theater productions. Blending a variety of dance techniques, including jazz, ballet, and contemporary, with an emphasis on theatrical performance. The season will end with a choreographed dance performance.
Broadway
Ages 13-18, This class is designed for intermediate-advanced tap dancers. Students will learn tap dance technique focusing on counting music, mastering tap essentials, and learning more advanced tap steps/combinations. They will be introduced to tap styles from classical, musical, rhythm, and funk. The season will end with a choreographed dance performance.
Teen Tap
Ages 7-13, This class is designed for dancers with 1-2+ years of tap dance experience. Students will focus on mastering tap technique, developing precision in counting music, and perfecting fundamental steps. Throughout the class, they will explore a variety of tap styles, including classical, musical theater, rhythm, and funk, while building both their technical ability and artistic expression.
Elementary/Tween Tap Level 2
Parent & Me
Ages 1-2, Designed for young toddlers and their caregivers. This interactive class encourages early development through music, gentle movement, sensory play, and age-appropriate activities in a supportive and social environment. No recital routine.
Growing Young 55+ Dance
Ages 55+, Get your body moving and your spirit soaring in Growing Young! Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just love to move, this class blends low-impact choreography with upbeat music to boost cardiovascular health, balance, flexibility, and coordination — all in a welcoming, judgment-free environment.
Homeschool Movement
Ages 7-12, Designed to support both physical and social development for homeschoolers looking to stay active, build coordination, and have fun with peers in a structured setting. Each class blends physical activity with playful learning through games, obstacle courses, creative movement, and basic fitness skills.
